What is the LVPS?
The Low Value Purchase System (LVPS) is a UK Government procurement framework designed specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) suppliers with fewer than 250 employees.
It offers public sector organisations an efficient, flexible route to procure commonly required goods and services under established financial thresholds. For the central government, the spending limit is up to £ 139k and for other public sector bodies up to £ 214k, as per Procurement Policy Note 11/23.
Why use the LVPS?

Streamlined procurement: The framework was created as a simplified procurement route for low-cost, low-volume and low-complexity requirements.

Direct award option: Public sector buyers have the option to make a direct award decision whilst remaining compliant with the Public Contract Regulations 2015.

Dynamic search filters: Suppliers can be filtered by service type, SME status, region and other criteria to aid buyers.

Full compliance: The LVPS provides a compliant route under UK procurement law, giving public sector organisations clarity and confidence.
